CUORI is the largest steam iron supplier in the world. As the brand's OBM business/high-end product, it needs to express its high performance and have an iconic design with a strong impact.
The trends in the Chinese market are changing rapidly. This is due to the changing preferences of the many young clusters that exist.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to accurately identify the right targets and their values, but we believe that this is where the business opportunities lie.

This was a design project for the flagship model of the OBM business of the world‘s largest producer of irons and steamers.　

The challenge of this project was how to express the client’s core technology of steam technology and high steam efficiency. Designing for both OBM and ODM is a very difficult task, as it requires reading the marketability of the target market and rapidly changing lifestyle trends.
The design was to express the excellent performance of the product in an edgy design, and at the same time, to have a parts structure that would allow for easy color development.

The product won the "Market Inscription Award" in China.

A household steam cleaner from the world's largest supplier of steam irons.

This steamer can be used not only for removing
oil and hot water stains in the bath and kitchen area, but also for sterilizing and wrinkle removal of clothes by adding attachments.

To incorporate adaptability to both a powerful appearance and fabric products, we applied a fabric pattern around the boiler tank to initiate versatility

The problem of using a cover case and how to solve it was the starting point for the design concept for this project.

The cordless iron is safe because the iron can be stored in the foldable cover at any time, and there is no need to prepare a place to put the cover when it is removed, as is the case with conventional products. When ironing in the vicinity of small children, the protective cover with safety measures can bring peace of mind to the user.

Mobility Garment Steamer, a high-end product in the OBM business, the largest steam iron supplier in the entire world.

An integrated product design that combines garment steam and ironing. The garment steam head is stored in the boiler body, Total design including mechanical design of a product that can be carried with a hanger pole and iron all in one.

The most difficult part of the project was to create a common design language for the boiler body, steam head, and iron, and to bring them together as a whole.

we conceived a new feature to sterilize
and dry clothes on the hanger after steaming.

We designed the main body in a triangular shape
so it can be placed in the corner of a room,
with operations, ironing board, and hanger layout on each side.
This design was well-received at the 2024 AWE show.

A Chinese manufacturer is the world leader in the robot cleaner market. The design of the exterior is required to express the high technology and highly performance of the robot cleaner.

The overall design is edgy, and the metal hairline CMF is adopted on the entire top surface to emphasize the high precision of the product.

At the time, Dyson was dominating the global market, and the market was favoring hardware-oriented designs with strong functional claims. With many products on the market that closely resemble Dyson's, the client's client brand wanted an edgy design that
would differentiate itself.

This design, with its high-impact iconography,
was accepted in European market.

For international clients, "design coordination" plays the most important role in ensuring that the product sells correctly and in large numbers in other countries when the sales market is different from the home market.

This is even more so when the sales market is already established and mature. In many cases, though, the client will ask for an expression of its special features, It is tough, but essential, to explain the different market trends and trends, and to help the client understand the direction in which differentiation can be achieved. In all cases, we believe that the act of design is about bridging the gap between the creator and the buyer.
Marketing design awareness is the most important factor for designers.
