The design is a compromise between the robustness of the stand to hold the large screen, the thinness of the stand, the thermal issues of the computer housed in the base, and the aperture ratio of the cooling holes. The design also had to be easy to maintain, accommodate both 15" and 20" monitors, and maintain the Endeavor brand identity while minimizing its presence.

The first LG-brand tablet notebook computer design was developed.
We began by researching how tablets were used in the U.S., which was the main market at the time, and sought a shape that would make it easy to hold vertically with the left hand.

This protrusion also serves a user-friendly function as a handhold for easy opening when used as a notebook computer.
The mechanism was designed so as not to expose any mechanical negative elements (exposed slide holes and screws)
that may accompany the rotation of the monitor.

This work brought the German iF design award to LG's PC division for the first time, This was the first step in LG's shift from an OEM business model to an OBM business model.

that allows the user to grasp the status of the PC and access to e-mail and other information even when the monitor is closed.

In the side view, the C case (keyboard surface) is bent at the back to appeal to the overall thinness of the PC. The result was a design with strong impact and a strong message for the then-saturated notebook market.

This design won the LG Design Team its first double award, the German Reddot 'The Best of the Best Award' and 'Design Team Of The Year'.
